Your Valuables

If I were to produce a movie, its title would be Your Valuables. I could
then get free advertising with signs like this in various establishments.

At Chowking, SM City Cebu, on one of their air conditioning units.

Throwback Thursday: The Ride

I was riding a jeepney to SM one day and out of boredom, observed my co-passengers: Four women, two ladies, two couples (boyfriend and girlfriend), a husband and a wife with their two kids (son and daughter), and another two ladies with a girl on their lap each. Now, I've got a question: How many people were in the jeepney?

Post your answers and let the world know how smart you are. I might just give away a prize. Hehe.

Olly Murs, "Wrapped Up" [OPC Hits 2014.11.16]

Olly Murs may have only finished second on The X Factor (UK) some years ago, but this time around, he finishes second to no one on the latest OPC Hits. That's the reason why he's Never Been Better, also the name of his upcoming album due on the 21st. Featuring with Travie McCoy, here's "Wrapped Up" at #1 this week:

As Good as Advertised: 7-Eleven Giniling Busog Meal

With the Hotta Rice not available, I recently settled for a Busog Meal at the 7-Eleven store near my home. They also had Sisig and Tuna Omelette, but I picked the Giniling meal. Microwaved and served hot, I got rice and a tasty viand for only P29.00. As I had a satisfying fill, I could say that the Busog Meal is as good as advertised: Busog and sulit.

Taylor Swift, "Out of the Woods" [OPC Hits 2014.11.09]

Taylor Swift has outpeaked her previous single "Shake It Off" on the OPC Hits chart with a re-entry of a song taken off her newly-released album 1989. After entering at #10 three weeks ago, the two-time Billboard Woman of the Year somehow got lost in the jungle, but she's now "Out of the Woods" as she returns this week at #2.

What Is Smart Calling?

On your Android phone (mine is an Alcatel One Touch Inspire 2), you might possibly encounter the Turn on smart calling option under Call settings > Other settings. But what exactly does this feature do?

Smart calling allows you to initiate a call with just a simple gesture of waving your finger or hand at the front-facing camera of your phone. You can trigger it from the Messaging app (it will call the number on the active SMS thread), or while accessing your Address Book (it will call the first number of the contact being displayed).

But should you turn on smart calling? Chances are you'd trigger this accidentally more than the times you'd trigger it intentionally. Could be quite a hassle. I suggest you keep it off.
