I was a little late in lending my ears to this year's Philpop entries. The champion has long been determined when I listened to the tracks the past week, but I say I definitely agree with which entry was chosen as the winning song. Composed by songwriting duo and real-life sweethearts, Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana, "Dati" is interpreted by Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos and OPC-favorite Quest. OPC10: Steven Curtis Chapman, "Love Take Me Over"

Steven Curtis Chapman has been one of the artists I like since I've heard his song "Speechless" from the Wow 2000 compilation album. Two years ago, his song "Do Everything" also became my favorite and was repeatedly played on my music player. This week, he debuts on the OPC10 at #1 as he takes over with "Love Take Me Over". Aaron Shust has been one of my favorite Christian artists ever since I heard his song "My Savior, My God". Seven years and five studio albums later, he is still singing about how God is shining in his life.
