Planetshakers, "Made for Worship" [OPC10 Q1 2014]

The Planetshakers are making their first quarter of the year count as two tracks from their brand new album Endless Praise topped the OPC Hit chart. Both spent two weeks at #1, but this song which made it to the quarterly tally is the longer-staying entry. Here's "Made for Worship" at #4:

Nicholas McDonald, "Answerphone" [OPC Hits 2014.4.06]

Scottish singer Nicholas McDonald leads two other newcomers in this week's OPC chart. After finishing as runner-up on the tenth series of The X Factor last year, he is now out with his debut album In the Arms of an Angel which has topped the Scottish Albums Chart. The lead single of that album is only one of three original songs in a sea of covers, several of which he has performed on the talent show. Here's "Answerphone" debuting at #4:

I'm a Goo Goo Dolls fan, so when I heard that their lead singer John Rzeznik is featured in a new song by Cash Cash, I immediately checked it out. I don't know if it was the Goo factor, but I instantly liked it. Here's "Lightning" which finishes at #9 on the monthly tally for March 2014.

Kari Jobe is back on the newest OPC chart! Last year, her song "Find You on My Knees" found itself debuting at #2, but this time, she beats her record and scores a grand entrance at the top spot. From the album Majestic, this single is a very beautiful and powerful praise and worship song about how Jesus overcame death through his resurrection, proclaiming that for all of time, He will be glorified and lifted high.
