Jessica Sanchez f/ Ne-Yo, "Tonight" [OPC10 2013.3.24]

As Eliot Sloan and the rest of the Blessid Union of Souls take the #1 spot for the third straight week, Jessica Sanchez debuts on this week's OPC10. The American Idol runner-up's official debut single "Change Nothing" peaked at #2 last year, while "Jump In," her collaboration with apl.de.ap, also peaked at #2 on Chart Central PH's Voters Hitlist XL. Will she finally escape the shadows of being second-best with her new song? With Ne-Yo to help her this time around, it's indeed possible for her to grab that top spot. Here's "Tonight" entering the chart at #8.

Jason Mraz, "The Woman I Love" [OPC10 2013.3.17]

I've liked Jason Mraz since his "The Remedy" days. I just find his ability to sing and speak fast, and make beautiful and meaningful songs so amazing. Last year, he was able to chart on the OPC10 with "I Won't Give Up" which peaked at #2. This year, he returns to this blog's Top 10 with the third single off his album Love Is a Four-Letter Word. Here's the master wordplayer himself, Mr. A to Z, with "The Woman I Love" which settles for #8 this week:

We Are Leo, "Oxygen" [OPC10 2013.3.10]

It's a week of new entries on this week's OPC10: six on the Overall chart, two on the Pinoy chart, plus a totally fresh set of Popout Tracks. Leading the pack are the Blessid Union of Souls, this blogger's all-time favorite band. Just last week, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they just followed me back on Twitter! Their song "Die for You" is a previously unreleased track that was sent to the members of band's official fan group for free! I can't feature it yet (there is still no official authorized upload of the song) so if you want to hear it, then I invite you to join The Union so you'd also get a copy.

Also making a grand homecoming entrance this week is We Are Leo! Last year, they were #1 on this blog's yearend chart with "Supernova Sunrise", and now they are back with yet another single from their Hello EP. "Oxygen" is a song that encourages us to never give up and hold on tight even when you already find it hard to breathe. And while you can associate the oxygen to anything that brings life and hope to you, the song is really about Jesus who indeed is the life-giver and life-saver. The song debuts at #2 this week, and here is its official music video:

Daniel Padilla, "Nasa Iyo na ang Lahat" [OPC10 Feb '13]

Daniel Padilla has run away with four out of the five people's choice awards on the recent Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs finals night. With the exception of the TFC Choice Award where he was runner-up, he went on to get the MYX Best Music Video and landed first place on MOR and Tambayan voting, as well as in the Star Records sales. "Nasa Iyo na ang Lahat" is indeed a catchy, radio-friendly track that even got a bigger boost by having been interpreted by one of the popular teenage heartthrobs of today. Written by Jungee Marcelo, the song also finishes second on the OPC10 Pinoy tally for February, and third overall. Here's its official music video, produced by the Ateneo de Manila University:
